Is Michael Moore a great American Film maker or is great American Trouble Maker?

Before you read this hub please take into consideration this is about Michael Moore along with my opinion about Mr. Moore. I am not here to talk politics even though that is what he mainly discusses so please keep in mind if you are easily offended don't read this hub go read a good hub instead and leave this one alone. I will more than like insult a feeble minded person if the do continue to read this which I don't I just don't want to hear them whine because I just don't care.Today after work my friend and I went to a Blockbuster down the road from my parents house because the store was closing so they were selling as much as they could before they had to be out of the building. I always like to go look to see what dvds they have available because Blockbuster usually has the rare or hard to find dvds which I am always looking for while my friend was just itching to spend money on his favorite hobby collecting dvds(who knows he may even watch them). As we were walking around we went by the special interest section they had Bigger Stronger Faster, Sicko, Capitalism: A Love Story, and Pumping Iron(I did a hub on two of the four I mentioned) all marked down at a cheap price I think they were around $6 each when my friend asked what Sicko and Capitalism: A Love Story were about?  Having seen both of them I explained them to my friend who asked who made them and why to which I answered Michael Moore made them but why? I don't know to be honest after thinking about it all I could tell him and you the reader is my opinion on Michael Moore and his story telling. If you have seen any of his films than I believe you have an opinion on him whether you like or dislike him no matter which one it is there is one thing for sure he is here to tell you what he thinks.

Michael Moore for those of you who don't watch his films or don't know is filmmaker who was born in Flint Michigan who is famous for making documentaries that catches people attention. He has four of the top nine grossing documentaries of all time under his belt yet critics take cheap shots at him all the time when he is just telling the truth. Never backing down Moore is always ready to face his critics while still having time to be an author as well as a Liberal political commentator which makes him a true American Hero or is he? What are the biggest complaints against Mr. Moore? Are the valid complaints or just people who's feathers he has ruffled? Let us continue so that you can come to whatever conclusion you believe is right or fair.

The biggest complaint about Mr. Moore's documentaries are that they are always one sided on the issues never showing you the other side of the issue. Let's be honest eveyone who has something to say about any issue usually does the same thing however it is usually people like Mr. Moore along with Fox New that will get most of the heat for it. Like any good film maker he tries to tug at your heart strings, get emotions out of you, then feed you some facts which you think makes you armed for a discussion when in reality you are only ready for half a discussion. He like most people trying to get you to join their side of the issue try to show you only the bad side of the other person's opinion while only showing you the good side of what their issue is. Usually you don't see that from filmmakers it is generally saved for politicians but Mr. Moore has decided to take that leap in order to spread the word along with his opinion. In my opinion this is bad because it might close someone's mind on the subject making it hard for people to share facts or their point of views meaning we have slowed or stopped progress entirely. Granted I know he isn't that only one on popular media who does this there are plenty of others who do the same thing but this hub isn't about them it is about Michael Moore. Perhaps with his story telling or atleast with the knack of making some of the most popular documentaries he can do one where he shows both sides of a popular subject without trying to persuade you to go to one side or the other just letting you decide for yourself.

I will not be going into detail about each documentary due the lengths of each of films not to mention the fact it would more than triple the size of this hub which no one(including the author) wants to happen. I will tell you in a sentence he talk about health care, guns, Reagan, Bush, and Large Corporations in the same light negative ofcourse. I don't want any comments about the last sentence I just wrote because to be honest I have no interest on your opinions of the sentence I was just proving a point not expressing my own point of view on any of them I just used them as examples. Even though he does makes some good points in the film on why they are bad he never shows you the good sides of them either which is a shame because there is nothing or no one completely bad, good, right, or wrong we just need to see all sides so we can make our own deicisions. It feels at times during his film that he is making that decision for you or trying to get you to see the subject through his eyes even though a person like me isn't interested in opinions as much as I am interested in learning the truth. Not what people think the truth is or should be but what the truth really is.

If you haven't seen a Michael Moore film then I recommend you watch one just do it with an open mind and try not to get caught up in the emotion of the film. He does have some good points, along with facts just don't allow his opinion to be recieved as a fact. Even though he usually only shows one side of a subject please remember there are atleast two sides to every subject that should be explored hopefully with an open mind and ears that are ready to listen so that maybe we can find what I believe we are looking for truth.
